What's Happening

Outdoor Church Service

posted Jul 11, 2020, 12:28 PM by Joel Toppen

Due to the community spread of COVID19 we were asked to suspend indoor Sunday services, and small group meetings (as of June 27). As weather allows, and as we get permission from Incident Command, we will conduct outdoor services in our parking lot. Here's how it will work:

  1. We'll bring our sound system outdoors. Service will begin at 11:00am and will conclude at noon.
  2. Worshippers are welcome to stay in their vehicle. We'll be transmitting on an FM station so that folks can listen from their car radio.
  3. Restroom facilities in our building will be accessible, but masks must be worn indoors.
  4. We sure hope you can make it out!

Church Reopening Soon!

posted Jun 7, 2020, 7:58 AM by Joel Toppen

Hey Church Family! We are getting close to where we can reopen for regular Sunday Morning Services. We will be submitting our phased reopening plan to the Tribe this week. Stay tuned for details.

I know we have been able to do services online during the COVID virus shutdown, but since the weather has been a bit warmer (and we've all been a bit stir crazy!), we are doing service outside in the parking lot this morning!

We are doing Parking Lot Praise service outdoors at 11am. For those unable to attend, we have already uploaded pastor's message to our YouTube channel:

Tabernacle Prayer

If you missed any of the devotional teachings from this past week, you can check out each day's message from this YouTube playlist

Each message focuses on on of the furnishings from the Tabernacle of Moses. Each of these six furnishings gives us a tool that we can use in prayer to prepare our hearts to enter into the presence of God!

Here's some highlights from last week's devotional videos:

"Yet Even Now"

What Is God Saying In All Of This?

"I Will Bless The Lord At All Times!"

"Yet Even Now"

Joel 2:12–13 says,
“Yet even now,” declares the LORD,
“Return to Me with all your heart,
And with fasting, weeping and mourning;
And rend your heart and not your garments.”
Now return to the LORD your God,
For He is gracious and compassionate,
Slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness
And relenting of evil.

I love how the MESSAGE Bible paraphrases this passage:

Joel 2:12–13 (The Message)
But there’s also this, it’s not too late— GOD’s personal Message!— “Come back to me and really mean it! Come fasting and weeping, sorry for your sins!”
Change your life, not just your clothes. Come back to GOD, your God. And here’s why: God is kind and merciful. He takes a deep breath, puts up with a lot, This most patient God, extravagant in love, always ready to cancel catastrophe.

Yesterday pastor did a short devotional that was centered on this passage. You can check it out on our YouTube channel:

How To Give Tithes And Offerings During This Time

posted Mar 22, 2020, 9:49 AM by Joel Toppen   [ updated Mar 22, 2020, 9:49 AM ]

Because we are temporarily unable to have gatherings, we are unable to collect offerings. Here's a couple ways that you can continue to give your tithes and offerings:
  1. First, you can mail checks to the church: P.O. Box 1991, Browning, MT 59417
  2. You can drop off your offering at the church (look for the Open sign) or at the parsonage behind the church.
  3. You can give online through PayPal by clicking on the "Donate" button below.

Thank you for your generosity and faithfulness during this season!

"Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness."

Church Remodeling Project

posted Mar 25, 2019, 3:23 PM by Joel Toppen

On March 6, 2019, our church building suffered substantial damage. Due to extreme cold, the sewer line from the building froze up. During attempts to thaw the frozen pipe, our wastewater lift station thawed enough to unexpectedly power up. The result of the wastewater being pumped into the blockage was that sewer water backed up through the bathrooms and flooded our facility. The damage was extensive:
  • Both bathrooms
  • Children's church classrooms
  • Nursery
  • Kitchen
  • Offices
  • Main auditorium
Our church hired a professional restoration company to come in and completely sanitize the facility. All areas affected by the wastewater were completely sanitized and biowashed for safety. I am happy to report that the cleanup is now 100% complete!

The next step is to repair the facility. A substantial amount of drywall had to be torn out and replaced. We have already replaced all of the drywall. Next up will be taping and mudding to be followed by priming and painting. Once that work is complete, we can have new flooring installed.

Last Sunday (March 24), we were able to have services in our facility once more! Our goal for this week is to have the kitchen and fellowship hall operational by Sunday. Thank you for your patience and understanding during our "involuntary remodel." :-)
